Think It's About The Food? Think Again.
Take a moment to reflect: what are all the things you do to escape uncomfortable feelings?
Here’s some common ones: - sleeping - drinking and partying - binge watching Netflix shows even though you’re not enjoying it - cigarette breaks - working late - caring for everyone else except yourself - fussing over lots of tiny details that don’t matter in the grand scheme of things - online shopping - staying busy, always finding something to do, just to avoid relaxing - reading and researching - watching porn - scrolling Instagram and going through all your apps for red notification dopamine hits - playing games - and of course... my favourite one... numbing yourself with food
When you take stock, you might realise that it’s not just food you do this with, it shows up in our life in many other forms.
Which can only mean one thing.
It’s never about the food.
STOP focusing on WHAT to eat.
START asking yourself WHY you eat.
